Soldiers of Love

Part One

What can I say? I like the song Kurama sings in the Ankoku Bujutsukai (sp.?) But you'll see why I actually named it this...later. As usual, the chara in this fic do not belong to me, but rather their respective owners and creators. Enjoy!

"Hmmm...Minamino Shuuichi...claimed to be 'the most academically outstanding student in all of Japan and maybe the world'...Has secret gift for obtaining knowledge and skills at a level far beyond his age...hmmm..."
Squeaking slightly, the felt-tipped red marker encircled the red-headed boy's picture. With a giggle, the book was slammed shut.

Kurama rolled over in bed to slam his alarm clock's snooze button for the fifth time. It ceased to ring and he lay back on his pillows, ready to sleep for another ten minutes.
"Shuuichi! Are you up?!" his mother called from downstairs.
"I'm awake!" he yelled back. To himself, he muttered, "But not up."
"Hn! Stupid fox. You'll be late for that school of yours," Hiei spoke up.
Without even looking, Kurama knew he was sitting in his windowsill, watching him. Kurama groaned at his statement and rolled to face the youkai.
"I'm sure you'd be a lot happier if I didn't go."
"That's not the point."
Hiei slid out of the window and walked over to the bed. With a small hop, he was crouched on the mattress, towering over Kurama with the barest hint of a smile. He leaned over and kissed the youko hard enough to take his breath away. Then, he shoved him to the floor. Kurama growled from the tangle of sheets and blankets, but didn't let his anger stay. Hiei was in a playful mood that day. Getting up, he regarded the youkai with a sly grin. Slowly, he began unbuttoning his nightclothes to dress for school, knowing that Hiei was enjoying it whether he let it show or not.
"Your mother is going out of town today, right?" Hiei asked, his crimson eyes never leaving the other's body.
Kurama nodded, reaching for his shirt. He smiled. "Does this mean I should expect you?"
"Hn! Maybe." In a flutter of displaced air, the youkai was gone.

Kurama's pace was brisk as he hurried home. He had been waiting for the last bell to ring and it had taken its sweet time. Swinging his bookbag with one hand, he used the other to unbutton the first few buttons of his uniform. The day was warm, and he was expecting Hiei to be waiting for him. Grinning to himself, he realized that he really wanted the fire demon to have a head start.
He jogged up to the front door of his house. For a moment, he paused, thinking he heard something behind him. Must be Hiei, he decided. Playing games, are we, love? He pushed his key into the lock and opened the door. Just as he stepped inside, he noticed someone short really had been behind him. But it wasn't Hiei. It was a tiny, silver haired girl in a smart-looking pantsuit and long dangling earrings. She grinned up at him, her black shades reflecting the bright sunlight.
"Oi! Minamino Shuuichi! I..."
But she never finished. Hiei had slipped beyond Kurama's notice and slammed the door shut in her face. Kurama blinked.
"Hiei, that wasn't very polite," he scolded.
"Hn! Pesky nuisance."
He grabbed the front of Kurama's shirt and hauled him into the living room. With a push, Kurama fell back onto the couch. He laughed as Hiei climbed on top of his stomach. Until then, he hadn't noticed that Hiei wasn't wearing his usual black coat and boots. He now only wore his trousers, which, Kurama noted with a mental groan, were held on by that damn double belt. He didn't have time to dwell on it, as Hiei had taken advantage of his momentary distraction to lean down and kiss him. The small hands wandered over his chest, finding the half-open shirt.
As the youkai's mouth moved to nibble his ear, he whispered, "Good little fox, you know how I hate buttons."
"I hate that belt," Kurama hissed back.
"You'll soon be rid of it, fox."
It was a promise Kurama knew Hiei would keep. Very soon, Hiei had opened his shirt and was letting his tongue move over the salty-wet flesh there. He found a nipple and toyed with it, his hands moving to tease the one not occupied by his mouth. Kurama moaned, the feeling that the youkai always gave him consumed him with passion. He reached for Hiei's wild hair and weaved his fingers into it. He felt his erection press against Hiei's as the fire demon inched his way back, stopping a moment to yank the bothersome pants away from his desire. Kurama obediently spread his legs to make room for Hiei. He was rewarded with a kiss on the tip of his member, the small, hot tongue darting in to tease the slit. Kurama raised his hips a bit, but Hiei pulled back. His hands casually worked at the double buckle of the wide belt, as slow as Kurama's hands had been that morning. Kurama bit his lip, waiting for his lover to be rid of the last obstacle in their pleasure.
After an agonizingly long wait, Kurama was gazing at Hiei's perfect body, his own once more burning with want and longing for the sexy youkai. Hiei smiled at the youko's appraisal of his body, leaning down for another kiss. Kurama couldn't keep his hands from wandering all over Hiei, touching and teasing anything that reached his eager fingertips. Hiei again pulled away, kneeling between Kurama's legs. His feather-light touch brushed the insides of his thighs, almost touching his throbbing erection, but always moving away before contact. The teasing drove Kurama crazy, and he lifted his hips again. With a look of mock pity, Hiei leaned down and licked slowly up his shaft, the small hand reaching down to touch and caress his balls. He let out a small grunt as Kurama's fingers pressed into his back, a moan escaping his throat among the gasps. Hiei finally gave in and took the youko into his mouth, letting his tongue move over him, his teeth putting slight pressure on the hardened flesh. In no time, the fire demon provoked Kurama's release, swallowing his lover's essence.
Looking up at Kurama, Hiei grinned. "Did you enjoy that, fox?"
All Kurama could do was nod, his breath ragged as he tried to gain control.
"Good. Get up and get dressed. I made reservations."
The youkai flitted off, leaving Kurama to sit up in confusion. What did he mean, 'reservations'? The answer eluded him, but he wanted to find out. With a groan of disappointment at their unfinished joining, he scooped up his discarded uniform and headed upstairs to change. Just you wait, my little youkai. I have great plans for you now.
Ten minutes later, Kurama sat on his bed, sighing as he waited. He crossed one leg over the other, smoothing the soft cotton of his trousers. Bored, he picked the lint off of his deep green silk shirt. A second later, he felt warm lips touch the side of his neck, a close body brushing against his hair.
"It's about time Hiei," Kurama complained.
"You're ready then?" Hiei asked, hopping off the bed and appearing before the youko. He extended his hand. "Let's go."
Kurama paused a moment, scrutinizing this very un-Hiei gesture. As he did, he noticed the youkai's attire. Still in black, the jeans hugged his strong legs and did nothing to hide his sensuous curves. His black satin shirt reflected the sunlight slightly, making Hiei's body glow as if in orange flames. Kurama smiled. Funny, that suited him. Deciding he liked Hiei's behavior and startling good looks in jeans, he reached out and took Hiei's hand. The fire demon pulled him up and led him out the door. They entered the streets, heading for downtown Tokyo. Kurama glanced down at his youkai, who hadn't released his hand, wondering what the mysterious Hiei was up to. Before long, he got his answer. Hiei tugged him into one of the finest restaurants in Tokyo. Kurama couldn't help but gasp his surprise, and Hiei grinned.
They were seated and Hiei ordered a bottle of champagne. Kurama wasn't too shocked when the waitress asked the short demon for ID. He simply growled at her, his red eyes narrowing, fangs peeking over his drawn lips. She hurried off to get the bottle.
"So what's with all this?" Kurama asked, once the champagne had been delivered and they were drinking quaintly from their glasses.
Hiei shrugged. "I felt like it."
Deciding that that was all he was going to get from his stubborn friend, he relaxed and made idle conversation about school. Hiei was content to sit and listen, still unadjusted to the social human atmosphere that surrounded him. They were served a lavish dinner and ate in silence. Kurama noticed the way Hiei kept glancing up at him over his glass every now and then. Once or twice, he deliberately made an effort to twist his lips sensually around his fork. It definitely got the youkai's attention and he squirmed in his seat.
After dinner, Hiei paid the bill. Kurama watched him hand over the wad of money, not wanting to know where he got it. He figured he would forget the fire demon's nature and not let it destroy the mood. They stepped outside into the warm night air. Kurama took a deep breath, tipping his head back to feel the breeze. Hiei took his hand again, leading him yet someplace else. He was surprised to find himself by the waterfront, Hiei taking him as close as he would get to the choppy waves the water created. There, he slid his arm around Kurama's waist. As amazed as he was at Hiei's sudden affection, it didn't stop him from draping his arm casually around Hiei's slight shoulders. He heard the youkai clear his throat. Something was coming.
"Kurama...I..."
"Oi! Minamino Shuuichi!" a voice rang out.
Hiei groaned and Kurama turned them around to face the same girl from earlier that day.
"What do you want?" Kurama asked warily, not liking that this annoying girl was following him.
"I've heard of your unusual mental capabilities and I..."
Hiei pulled away from Kurama, raising his fist. He wished he had his sword. "Look, kid, can't you see I'm trying to pull off a date with my boyfriend! Get lost before I make you regret it!"
The girl looked slightly miffed. "This matter does not concern you. I came here for Minamino Shuuichi, and that's who I'll talk to!" she insisted.
"You just don't get it do you! I'm trying to tell him something important! Go away!"
The girl wrinkled her nose. "No!"
In an instant, she tore off her suit to reveal a skimpier one underneath. White with black ribbons. A curly tail flickered behind her, her silver hair resembling rounded ears.
"What the..." Kurama started.
"Kono yaro!!!" Hiei yelled. He began chasing the girl back over the docks and into the street, intent on killing her. She shrieked at his pursuit and bolted away from him, cursing something for its failure to appear. Sighing heavily, the mood broken for a second time, Kurama darted after, hoping to curb any chances of homicide that night.

Hiei was going to catch her. He should have caught her already. His speed usually let him tackle any prey before they gave even a good chase from him. But she seemed to be as fast as he, barely missing his chance to catch the tail that bobbed behind her. But it seemed his luck hadn't left him for long. An upcropping in the sidewalk made her stumble and fall to the ground.
"Now I've got you, you little..."
"Hold it right there!"
Hiei paused in his attempt to run the mouse-girl through with his "jaoensatsu ken." Turning, he saw another strange looking girl in a sickeningly bright sailor fuku with wings spread out behind her. Her blonde hair was done up in a meatball ensemble, with two pigtails sprouting from the buns. Two other girls in better-looking fukus flanked her, one in red with black hair, another, a blonde in dark blue. The one with the wings pointed an accusing finger at the stunned Hiei.
"How dare you go after innocent girls on a beautiful night such as this. Her virtue is far to precious for your hands!" she snapped in a high-pitched voice.
"Now hold on a minute..." Hiei protested, prepared to turn his ki-based sword on her instead of the one he'd intended it for. "I was only..."
Before he could get in another word, the girl went into a myriad of poses, stating, "For love and justice, I am the pretty sailor suited soldier SailorMoon!"
Severely annoyed, Hiei scowled and prepared to either go back to Kurama or fight this annoying human, he hadn't decided.
"In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!" Sailor Moon finished.
"Now that that's over with, I can kill you," Hiei snarled. His plans had been really screwed up, and someone was going to pay for that. He decided that it might as well be the rambling blonde, especially since his intended "victim" had suddenly vanished. He leapt forward, his target clear.
"World Shaking!" came a deep voice.
Hiei let out a startled cry as a golden globe of energy nearly ran him down. Without his youkai speed, he would have been blasted by it. He turned to attack the tall blonde who'd released the energy. In turn, the black-haired girl had raised a flaming arrow in his direction, preparing to hit him with it. He smirked. She obviously didn't know what she was up against. He considered just how she'd die, when something flew through the air and landed in the pavement between them. Everyone paused to look. It was a red rose.
"Tuxedo Kamen-sama!" Sailor Moon cried, her eyes turning to hearts.
The others had also turned to gaze in the direction the rose had come from, the girl's arrow diminishing.
"I don't know who you are or why you're attacking Hiei, but he has done nothing wrong. To hurt him, you will have to face me."
A figure stepped into the light of a nearby streetlamp, illuminating bright red hair. A pair of narrowed emerald eyes glinted angrily at the three girls.
Sailor Moon regarded Kurama with an icy glare. "Hey!" she shouted. "You're not Tuxedo Kamen!"
"That 'Hiei' was trying to attack a girl on the street!" the black-haired girl protested.
Kurama let out an amused snort. "My Hiei? I find it hard to believe that he would just attack an innocent girl for no reason."
"Are you calling us liars?" the tall blonde in blue demanded, her voice deep and challenging. "I think we can prove our point."
"So, let's get it over with. I hope you can outrun the teeth of my RoseWhip," Kurama warned. He reached behind him, another rose becoming visible in the dim light. With a flick of his wrist, it became the thorny whip, capable of tearing just about anything into tiny pieces.
"I hope you can stand up to my World Shaking," the blonde retalliated. "Not many have lived to tell about encountering it."
"Sailor Uranus, is this really necessary?" Sailor Moon asked anxiously. "Maybe this was all a big misunderstanding!"
Sailor Uranus ignored her, her hard sapphire gaze on Kurama. Likewise, Kurama met her gaze, wanting her to make the first move. The night fell dead silent, waiting for the battle to begin.....
